Finish Trim Carpentry

Our Attention to Detail is what sets apart from the rest. We offer high-end finish trim carpentry and millwork installation services to commercial and residential builders in the West Michigan area. Basement Finishing

If your house was built with an unfinished basement, we are able to turn your basement into a whole new area for you to spend time in. We are able to add bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, family rooms, home gyms, home theaters, wet bars, craft rooms and other living areas in your basement. Whatever your needs are, Select Homes and Construction, Inc. is able to meet them. Remodeling your basement will help with the resale value of your home in the future. We also remodel outdated basements that my just need an upgrade.

What does it cost to finish a basement?

Every basement is different.  Basements can differ in the following ways:

  1. Already installed egress windows or patio sliders
  2. Insulation installed
  3. Rooms framed
  4. Roughed in bathroom plumbing
  5. Exposed ductwork which will have to be boxed in
  6. Your finishing touches such as fireplaces, bars, custom built-ins, tile, steam showers, saunas.

The average basement that I finished last year was $40,000 to $75000.

The Basement Finish Process

  1. I visit your home and talk with you about your plan for the basement
  2. I am also a realtor and offer suggestions to maximize market value
  3. I draw a floor plan of the basement and offer suggestions
  4. I provide an estimate of the basement project
  5. We discuss any modifications to the project
  6. If we agree to move forward, we start the project as soon as reasonably possible

We are often asked “Do you sub-contract the entire project to the least expensive contractors you can find?”  No, we do most of the work ourselves. We are there from the start of the project to the finish.

We specialize in making your kitchen more convenient for you, such as enlarging the room by removing walls, inserting a higher sink faucet to make washing dishes easier, or making the cabinets more useful by adding inserts.

We are able to remodel your bathroom to meet your needs so that you can have a new bathroom while saving money.
